Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement developmentally appropriate lesson plans and activities that promote learning and growth in infants and toddlers.
  • Establish and maintain a safe and nurturing environment that fosters social, emotional, and cognitive development.
  • Build strong relationships with children, families, and colleagues to ensure a collaborative and supportive team environment.
  • Communicate effectively with families through regular updates, progress reports, and parent-teacher conferences.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to plan and implement curriculum, activities, and events that promote learning and engagement.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development to stay current on best practices in early childhood education.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of children's progress, including observations, assessments, and progress reports.
  • Supervise and support classroom volunteers, including parents, to ensure a positive and productive learning environment.
  • Participate in family-style mealtimes with children to model good nutrition and social skills.
  • Ensure a purposeful program that is responsive to the needs of children and families.
  • Refer families to local resources and services as needed to support their well-being and development.
  • Document and report suspected instances of child abuse or neglect as required by law.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or related field.
  • Infant/Toddler CDA (Child Development Associate) certification or equivalent.
  • At least 2 years of experience working with infants and toddlers in an early childhood setting.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and responsibilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with children, families, and colleagues.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
  • Physical ability to lift 60 pounds and engage in physical play with children.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel as needed.
  • Ability to pass a background check and obtain necessary clearances.
