About the Role

Avid Technology Professionals, LLC is seeking a highly skilled Cyber Defense Systems Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our software and systems engineering team, you will be responsible for designing and implementing secure software solutions for our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement secure software solutions using Agile methodologies
  • Develop and maintain secure software applications using various programming languages and frameworks
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and mitigate security risks
  • Implement and configure SecureSphere Imperva Web Application Firewalls (WAF), Database Activity Monitoring (DAM), and other security tools
  • Develop and maintain AWS security configurations, including API Gateway and Application Load Balancers
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest security threats and technologies, and implement best practices to ensure the security of our clients' systems
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field
  • 6+ years of software development experience, with a focus on security
  • 2+ years of experience with Agile software development methodologies
  • Advanced experience with SecureSphere Imperva Web Application Firewalls (WAF), Database Activity Monitoring (DAM), and other security tools
  • Experience with AWS security configurations, including API Gateway and Application Load Balancers
  • Strong understanding of security best practices and threat mitigation strategies
Desired Skills
  • 5+ years of Cloud DevOps Administrative or Engineering experience
  • 3+ years of related Network Security Identity Management tools engineering experience
  • DHS experience
  • One or more of the following certifications in good, current standing: CISA, GCIH, GCED, CISSP, CASP, or Security+
