We are seeking a highly skilled Material Planning Assistant to join our team at SMS InfoComm Corporation. As a Material Planning Assistant, you will play a critical role in creating and tracking manufacturer orders, prioritizing and completing customer backorders, and resolving invoice discrepancies.
Key Responsibilities- Material Planning: Create and track manufacturer orders, transfer tickets, and prioritize manufacturing operations to meet production demands.
- Inventory Management: Work with the warehouse team to maintain accurate inventory levels, resolve discrepancies, and optimize storage and retrieval processes.
- Supply Chain Coordination: Collaborate with the buying team to resolve PO/SO/invoice discrepancies, ensure timely delivery of materials, and maintain positive relationships with vendors.
- Financial Analysis: Review and validate invoices from vendors, identify and resolve discrepancies, and ensure accurate payment processing.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
- Experience: Minimum of two years of experience in manufacturing operations, SIOP, sourcing, and material management.
- Skills: Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, Access, and PowerPoint), ERP and forecasting systems, and ability to work with large datasets.
- Personal Qualities: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, self-motivation, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
The Material Planning Assistant will work in a warehouse environment with moderate to high noise levels. The role requires the ability to lift objects up to 25 pounds, walk for extended periods, and work in a variety of environmental conditions.
