Responsibilities
  • Deliver High-Quality Patient Care: Provide professional nursing care in the operative setting, ensuring the highest level of patient safety and satisfaction.
  • Assist in Surgical Procedures: Perform scrub functions, including the selection and handling of instruments and supplies, and assist the operating physician with surgical tasks.
  • Monitor and Record Patient Condition: Continuously monitor and record patient condition, making adjustments as needed to ensure optimal care.
  • Prepare Operating Rooms: Prepare operating rooms and surgical instruments and equipment for use, ensuring a smooth and efficient surgical process.
Requirements
  • Education: Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing.
  • Certifications: Current licensure as Registered Nurse (RN) or Registered Nurse First Assistant (RNFA), Basic Life Support (BLS) through American Heart Association (AHA), and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) through American Heart Association (AHA) if required.
  • Work Experience: One year of recent related clinical experience for internal applicants, two years of recent related clinical experience for external applicants, and successful completion of prescreen competency assessments.
