Vensure Employer Solutions, a leading provider of HR technology and service solutions, is seeking a skilled Health Underwriter to join our team. As a key member of our underwriting team, you will be responsible for assessing medical risk for our PEO sponsored medical plans.
Key Responsibilities- Medical Risk Assessment: Utilize underwriting policies and guidelines to assess medical risk for PEO sponsored medical plans.
- Complex Case Analysis: Analyze complex group cases to calculate rates based on thorough analysis of the group's experience, industry, location, size, and demographic nature.
- Collaboration and Communication: Work with sales and support teams to ensure all necessary information is received and accurately processed.
- Underwriting Knowledge Sharing: Provide underwriting knowledge sharing and education to peers and/or members of the sales team.
- System Updates: Update all underwriting systems as appropriate.
- Education: High School Diploma required, Associates degree preferred or comparable experience.
- Experience: Insurance carrier underwriting experience preferred 2+ years, PEO underwriting experience preferred 2+ years.
- Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel, familiarity with office environment.
