About Our Emergency Medicine Team

Our team of experienced physicians and Advanced Practice Clinicians (APCs) work together to provide high-quality patient care in a variety of treatment areas, including the Emergency Department, Fast Track, and The Urgency Room.
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Emergency Medicine APC to join our multidisciplinary team. As an integral member of our team, you will be responsible for providing excellent patient care, coordinating with consultant services, recommending follow-up care, and participating in continuous quality improvement initiatives. You will work rotating shifts within a hospital ED and/or our stand-alone Urgency Room locations in the Twin Cities metro area.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide healthcare services to patients under the supervision of a physician
- Examine patients and perform comprehensive physical examinations
- Compile patient medical data, including health history and results of physical examination
- Administer or order diagnostic tests, such as CT scans, x-rays, electrocardiograms, and laboratory tests
- Interpret test results for deviations from normal
- Perform therapeutic procedures, such as injections, immunizations, suturing wound care, and managing infections
- Develop and implement patient management plans, record progress notes, and assist in provision of continuity of care
- Prescribe, administer, and dispense drugs, controlled substances, and medical devices
- Instruct and counsel patients regarding compliance with prescribed therapeutic regimens
- Create and maintain accurate patient records
Requirements and Qualifications
- 1+ years of experience working as an APC in a tertiary, high-volume hospital emergency department
- Completion of an accredited physician assistant or nursing practitioner program
- Current licensure with the Minnesota Board of Medical Practice or Minnesota Board of Nursing
- Current ACLS, ATLS, and BLS certification
- Ability to efficiently manage multiple clinical tasks
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, resulting in effective information exchange with patients, families, physicians, and professional associates
- Demonstrate professionalism, responsibility, ethical practice, sensitivity to diverse patient populations, and adherence to legal and regulatory requirements
Benefits
We offer competitive compensation and an excellent benefit package, including health, dental, life, short-term and long-term disability, long-term care, and 401(k). Our schedules can vary according to practice setting, but may include days, nights, and weekends. EPPA is an equal opportunity and affirmative action employer. Estimated salary: $120,000 - $150,000 per year.
