About the Role
Caterpillar is seeking a skilled Electrical Systems Designer to join our team in Alpharetta, Georgia. In this role, you will be responsible for designing and developing Low and Medium voltage switchgear for generator paralleling applications.

About You
To be successful in this position, you will have a strong background in electrical engineering, with experience in design and development of low and medium voltage switchgear. You will also possess excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Responsibilities
- Interpret customer specifications and drawings, and apply them while considering industry regulations and standards
- Create bill of materials in ERP system
- Provide direction to purchasing and procurement
- Support production during equipment manufacturing
- Write and validate PLC code for generator control systems, interfacing with various communication protocols
