Job Overview

Position Summary:
Accountable for maintaining the accuracy and integrity of the physical inventory concerning Raw Material and Subassembly Items. Ensures adherence to procedures that guarantee inventory precision is upheld.

Key Responsibilities:
1. **Inventory Monitoring:** Track and analyze inventory discrepancies stemming from scrap, excess material usage, documentation, receiving, and cycle counts. Propose corrective measures as necessary and maintain records of issues along with supporting data.
2. **Inventory Completion Processing:** Understand and execute the recording and processing of inventory completions for exceptions as required.
3. **Communication:** Liaise with purchasing and scheduling teams when significant alterations in system inventory quantities are executed by Inventory Control.
4. **Cycle Counts:** Establish appropriate timing for and conduct routine cycle counts, identifying and rectifying root causes of errors as they arise.
5. **Year-End Reconciliation:** Organize year-end cycle counts for WIP locations concerning raw and subassembly materials, reconciling any outstanding inventory-related issues or procedures at year-end.

Storage Management:
Set up discrete storage locations and WIP areas within the facility, collaborating with Corporate Inventory Control for the establishment of storage zones.

New Item Setup:
Oversee the initiation of new items related to inventory functions, including assigning family codes, default put-away locations, auto-complete flags, and establishing WIP physical records, department ownership, and WIP minimum/maximum quantities.

Inventory Control Parameters:
Define parameters for inventory oversight, enhancing existing tools, and collaborating with various departments across the Inventory Control Group to develop new system setups, procedures, and tools aimed at preventing and identifying inventory inaccuracies.

Daily Inventory Review:
Examine inventory levels daily for discrepancies, identifying and rectifying causes of inventory errors outside defined parameters using the PeopleSoft system, Queries, and QlikView. Conduct meetings with Supervisors, Team Leaders, and Operators as necessary to provide additional training regarding inventory discrepancies.

Non-Conformance Management:
Administer system transactions required for non-conformance on inventory-controlled items.

Obsolete Item Review:
Investigate and document items that may require obsolete status.

Inter Business Unit Shipments:
Review outstanding shipments to relevant departments and perform necessary exceptions.

Barcode Management:
Create and manage barcode formats for effective inventory management utilizing corporate tools.

Production Error Monitoring:
Oversee system production errors, troubleshooting, investigating, and reprocessing as needed.

Material Flow Understanding:
Comprehend the flow of materials and item setups for BOMs, routing operation sequences, production areas, and auto-completions of subassemblies. Suggest modifications to bills of material based on usage and yield rates, as well as changes to routing operation sequences and recording points for subassemblies.

Technical Skills:
Proficient in using Excel and Word.
