  • Communicate effectively with patients regarding their contact lens needs and obtain necessary medical histories.
  • Facilitate the ordering, receiving, dispensing, and returning of contact lenses, ensuring all processes are accurately recorded.
  • Notify patients and technicians about any backorders or supply issues.
  • Assist with online store requests and collaborate with team members to maintain adequate trial lens inventory.
  • Ensure proper organization and storage of all invoices and specialty lens sets.
  • Manage incoming contact lens inquiries, providing assistance or forwarding to the right individual.
  • Verify patient benefits related to contact lenses prior to their appointments.
  • Accurately code patient encounters for billing purposes.
  • Participate in team meetings to enhance communication and performance.
  • Be flexible in working hours and locations as required.
  • Present oneself at the workstation ready for work at the scheduled time.
  • Engage in departmental meetings and perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • 1-2 years of experience in an optical or healthcare setting is preferred.
  • Basic understanding of contact lenses is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with electronic health record systems is a plus.
