Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Ultrasound Technologist to join our team at Advocate Aurora Health. As a Staff Ultrasound Technologist, you will be responsible for operating ultrasound equipment to perform general, vascular, and cardiac procedures/studies. You will accurately differentiate between normal and pathologic findings, review patient medical records, and position patients for accurate ultrasound procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Competently operate ultrasound equipment to perform general, vascular, and cardiac procedures/studies.
  • Accurately differentiate between normal and pathologic findings.
  • Review patient medical records to obtain necessary clinical information.
  • Position patients for accurate ultrasound procedures.
  • Maintain records in accordance with regulatory agencies and enter patient and study information into the radiology information system.
Requirements
  • Medical Sonographer (RDMS) registration with Abdomen issued by the American Registry of Diagnostic Med Sonography (ARDMS) needs to be obtained within 3 months.
  • Medical Sonographer (RDMS) registration with OB/GYN issued by the American Registry of Diagnostic Med Sonography (ARDMS) needs to be obtained within 3 months.
  • Vascular Technologist (RVT) registration issued by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) needs to be obtained within 3 months.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association (AHA) needs to be obtained within 6 months.
Working Conditions

The Staff Ultrasound Technologist will work in a fast-paced environment, operating ultrasound equipment, and interacting with patients and healthcare professionals. The position requires the ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.
