Phlebotomy Specialist II

The Patient Services Representative II (PSR II) serves as the face of Bayone to patients, representing the company's commitment to quality and excellence. This role involves drawing quality blood samples from patients and preparing those specimens for lab testing while adhering to established practices and procedures. The PSR II has direct contact with patients, creating an atmosphere of trust and confidence while explaining procedures and drawing blood specimens in a skillful, safe, and accurate manner.
Key Responsibilities:- Draw quality blood samples from patients and prepare specimens for lab testing
- Explain procedures to patients and create an atmosphere of trust and confidence
- Perform verification of patient demographic information and initials, including patient signature post-venipuncture
- Maintain required records and documentation
- Demonstrate organizational commitment and promote a positive image to patients, clients, employees, and the public
- Ability to provide quality, error-free work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work independently with minimal on-site supervision
- Excellent phlebotomy skills, including pediatric and geriatric
- Flexible and available based on staffing needs, including weekends, holidays, on-call, and overtime
- Committed to all Policies & Procedures, including Company dress code, Employee Health & Safety, and Everyday Excellence Guiding Principles
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Medical training: medical assistant or paramedic training preferred
- Phlebotomy certification preferred, required in California, Nevada, and Washington
- FIVE years phlebotomy experience required, inclusive of pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections
