MetroWest Medical Center is a leading healthcare provider in the region, and we are seeking a skilled Laboratory Assistant II Phlebotomist to join our team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for performing routine technical and clerical functions, including specimen registration and billing, specimen receipt and distribution, and phlebotomy duties as assigned.

Our ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or equivalent, with 1 year of laboratory experience and/or completion of a formal phlebotomy training program. Phlebotomy certification where State law requires is also a must.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine technical and clerical functions to include specimen registration and billing.
  • Perform specimen receipt and distribution of laboratory specimens.
  • Perform phlebotomy duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 1 year of laboratory experience and/or completion of a formal phlebotomy training program.
  • Phlebotomy certification where State law requires.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Completion of a phlebotomy program.
  • Basic laboratory computer/lab information system experience.
