Donation Attendant

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Donation Attendant to join our team at The Salvation Army USA Central Territory. As a key member of our donation center team, you will play a vital role in ensuring a positive experience for our donors and maintaining a clean and organized donation area.

• Donation Processing: Receive and receipt all donated materials from donors, including attempting to obtain an email address from as many donors as possible. Courteously advise donors of material which is not acceptable per Salvation Army policy.
• Donation Area Maintenance: Maintain a clean and well-organized donation area, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for donors.
• Customer Service: Maintain a friendly and helpful demeanor throughout the transaction with a donor, ensuring each donor is greeted and asked if they need assistance.
• Security and Operations: Responsible for all operations and security matters while on duty, including safeguarding materials and tracking donations.
• Sorting and Loading: Sort, load, and unload all Salvation Army trucks per policy.
• Availability: Must be available for a flexible schedule; to work early shifts, late shifts, and some weekends.

• Professional Appearance: Always present a professional appearance while adhering to the Salvation Army dress and appearance code.
• Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with donors and team members.
• Teamwork: Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team to achieve common goals.
