Job Summary

InsideHigherEd is seeking a highly qualified Adjunct Faculty member to teach Spanish in our Economic and Workforce Development program. As a part-time instructor, you will be responsible for delivering instruction and facilitating student learning in a dynamic and inclusive environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teaching and Instruction
    • Prepare and deliver high-quality instruction in Spanish to students in the Economic and Workforce Development program.
    • Develop and implement curriculum that aligns with program outcomes and industry needs.
    • Use a variety of teaching methods and assessments to meet student learning needs.
  • Student Support and Services
    • Provide regular student support and contact to meet learner's classroom and career goals.
    • Refer students to appropriate college resources and services as needed.
  • Program Development and Collaboration
    • Participate in the development, implementation, evaluation, and updating of curriculum.
    • Collaborate with industry partners and community organizations to promote program awareness and recruitment.
  • Professional Development and Compliance
    • Actively maintain proficient knowledge and skills in emerging trends and current occupational practices.
    • Complete annual professional development activities in areas of Faculty Quality Assurance Standards (FQAS) competencies.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience
    • Bachelor's Degree in Spanish or related field.
    • Experience working with diverse populations and promoting inclusive learning environments.
  • Skills and Abilities
    • Ability to adapt teaching to multiple modalities, including in-person, online, and video conferencing.
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Working Conditions

This is a part-time position with flexible scheduling, including evenings and weekends. The successful candidate will be required to travel to various campus locations and client/contract work sites.
