Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Neurodiagnostic Technologist III to join our team at Children's Healthcare of Atlanta. As a key member of our neurodiagnostic team, you will be responsible for monitoring continuous EEG studies, recognizing and annotating abnormal activity, and performing routine and complex neurodiagnostic procedures in outpatient and inpatient facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor continuous EEG studies to recognize and annotate abnormal activity in accordance with ACNS guidelines.
  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate alternatives to achieve desired outcomes in test administration.
  • Perform departmental basic and advanced competencies related to EEG monitoring, emphasizing seizure recognition and initiation of communication protocol.
  • Maintain continuing medical education and increase technical competencies.
  • Follow departmental guidelines to ensure the best patient care possible.
  • Communicate effectively with patient/family, department staff, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to promote quality patient care.
Requirements
  • 3 years of experience in an inpatient setting.
  • Associates degree or higher.
  • Graduated from a CAAHEP accredited Neurodiagnostic program.
  • 1 year independently monitoring and documenting patients.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of employment.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Ability to demonstrate competencies key to the position within six months of employment.
