About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Employment Counsel to join our Global Employee Relations and Employment Counsels team at Michael Page International (Ireland) Limited.

Key Responsibilities
  • Advise and guide internal stakeholders on complex HR decisions, including performance management, retention, discrimination, harassment, and separations.
  • Design and implement local policies in alignment with the global strategy, focusing on employee relations and employment law.
  • Provide support and assistance to the HR team on HR policies from an employment law perspective.
  • Design and deliver legal employment law trainings to coach internal stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with the Compliance team and external consultants on new and complex business scenarios.
  • Develop and standardize investigation processes, formulate relevant policies, and provide guidance on internal investigations of complaints within HR's purview.
  • Identify evolving challenges and provide risk mitigation solutions.
  • Monitor legislation developments and trends, and provide proactive solutions.
Requirements
  • A qualified solicitor in Ireland or another relevant jurisdiction.
  • Specialist focus on Employment Law.
  • Proven experience in operating at a senior level and advising HR Teams on high-level, complex international Employment Law issues.
  • Strong training and experience in both Private Practice and an In-House Environment.
  • Strong knowledge of local, national, and international employment laws and regulations.
  • Excellent skills in negotiation, communication, and decision-making.
