Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Business Systems Analyst Intern to join our team. As a Business Systems Analyst Intern, you will be responsible for supporting the analysis and evaluation of existing systems, collaborating with the agile team to configure package software, and defining potential improvement changes to resolve errors and improve system maintainability and stability.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the analysis and evaluation of existing systems for performance
  • Collaborate effectively with the agile team to configure package software when applicable
  • Define potential improvement changes to resolve errors, prevent the recurrence of problems, or improve system maintainability and stability
  • Simulate and test suggestions made for performance
  • Complete required documentation to communicate required information to deployment, service, and business teams
  • Participate in the daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives to update progress, highlight, and resolve impediments
  • Proactively learn and research assigned domain's business processes and systems
Requirements
  • Students pursuing a Bachelor's degree with concentrations in Computer Science, Information Technology, MIS, or related field
  • Strong academic credentials (Minimum GPA of 3.0)
Preferred Qualifications
  • Strong data analysis skills
  • Advanced Excel capabilities and SQL knowledge
  • Basic understanding of Scrum, Lean, XP, Kanban, and other agile development techniques
  • Basic knowledge of DevOps, including continuous integration, continuous deployment/delivery, configuration, and containerization, infrastructure as a code, and monitoring
Technical Skills and Abilities
  • Familiarity with having an 'agile-development' mindset enhanced by a strong customer-focus & results-orientation
  • Flexible mindset (not married to a single technology) and demonstrated ability to grow skillset and work across a robust and diverse technology stack
  • Intermediate Excel capabilities and SQL knowledge
  • Willingness and ability to excel in a fast-paced agile environment
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Leadership and problem-solving skills
  • Dynamic learner that isn't afraid to get their hands dirty
  • Exhibit a professional, business-like demeanor
