Job Summary

This position is responsible for assisting with performing invasive cardiovascular procedures to produce high-quality examinations in accordance with applicable standards, regulations, and licensing requirements. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of diagnostic imaging and pediatric/congenital invasive cardiology and electrophysiology.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepares and sets up the Cath Lab for procedures, organizing sterile areas, instruments, and equipment in accordance with established procedures and standards.
• Reviews requirements of patients, physicians, and procedures to assess set-up, equipment, and supply needs, communicating with the procedural team to ensure thorough preparedness.
• Assists cardiologists with performing diagnostic cardiology and electrophysiology procedures and imaging, determining proper radiologic technique and positioning to ensure optimal results.
• Performs regular equipment calibration and maintenance, identifying and troubleshooting malfunctions to ensure continuous proper and safe operations.
• Finalizes functions, including archival storage of images, patient radiographic data, and records in accordance with scope of practice, cardiologist, and departmental specifications.
