With a decade of expertise in rocket engine testing and a team comprising former professionals from industry giants such as Blue Origin, SpaceX, NASA, and Rocketdyne, AGILE is rapidly expanding and engaged in numerous exciting Defense, Civil, and Commercial initiatives.
Position Summary:
AGILE is in search of a seasoned propulsion engineer to take on a pivotal role in providing technical guidance to a project team focused on developing a hypergolic axial engine intended for lunar lander applications.
The successful candidate will possess the technical acumen necessary to mentor fellow engineers, facilitate informed architectural decisions, and steer the development process effectively.
Key competencies sought include expertise in injector design and combustion systems, regenerative cooling design and analysis, as well as film cooling design and analysis.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze system requirements to establish architecture and subsystem frameworks.
- Provide technical leadership throughout the subsystem design process.
- Conduct thorough analyses of components and subsystems.
- Lead investigations into anomalies and requirement deficiencies.
- Employ critical problem-solving skills, prioritize tasks, and conduct comprehensive analyses.
- Iterate engine and feature designs utilizing both simulated and empirical test data.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant engineering or technical discipline with a minimum of 5 years of experience in rocket propulsion systems. A multi-disciplinary engineer who is comfortable navigating ambiguity and uncertainty in complex projects is preferred. Candidates must be U.S. citizens or permanent residents.
Preferred Expertise:
- Experience in leading the complete design and production cycle of propulsion systems.
- Proficiency in ANSYS software.
- Experience in developing and managing chemical propulsion systems.
- Familiarity with toxic and hazardous propellants.
- Expertise in designing for advanced materials and manufacturing processes.
- Hands-on experience with rocket propulsion systems.

Compensation:
The salary range for this position is between $100,000 and $150,000, with adjustments based on individual experience and technical capabilities.
