Job Summary

The Patient Access Emergency Room Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the coordination, supervision, and scheduling of registration staff across multiple areas, including the Freestanding FED's. This role requires a detailed knowledge base in registration, Emergency Department, and Revenue Cycle practices, as well as an understanding of how these areas impact the flow of work throughout the departments and organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in developing and enforcing policies and procedures
  • Monitor the accuracy of registration data entered by associates
  • Ensure proper patient experience protocols are followed
  • Monitor staff interaction with patients and peers
  • Monitor co-pay collections and goals
  • Clear issues in various registration and billing reports
  • Manage overall training and coordination of work within the department
Requirements
  • ER Management experience
  • Cerner Millennium experience preferred
  • 2 years registration experience required in Supervisory or Management experience in acute setting
