Intelliswift is seeking a skilled Applied Scientist to innovate, design, and implement advanced scientific solutions that enhance customer experiences in discovering engaging video content.
In this position, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the recommendations and personalization strategies for a transformative educational media platform.
Collaborating with a team of scientists and engineers, you will also engage with cross-functional teams in science, economics, product, and business to develop a state-of-the-art media experience for users.
Your contributions will be vital in the continuous improvement of a system that analyzes video content and supports various innovative video discovery methods.
This role offers numerous opportunities to think creatively and tackle a diverse array of complex challenges.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as a technical authority in the scientific advancement of recommendation systems that facilitate user discovery of new educational resources.
- Navigate multiple subdomains within the broader problem landscape (delivering recommendations across various media types).
- Develop machine learning models, conduct proof-of-concept experiments, optimize, and deploy your models into production; collaborate closely with software engineers to ensure effective implementation of your ML models.
- Execute A/B testing, collect data, and perform statistical evaluations.
- Create scalable, efficient, automated workflows for extensive data analysis, machine learning model development, validation, and deployment.
Qualifications
Basic Requirements
* 3+ years of experience in developing machine learning models for business applications
- Proficiency in Python
- PhD or Master's degree with 4+ years of experience in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Machine Learning, or a related discipline
- Capability to formulate machine learning platform strategies in the realm of recommender systems for media and education
- Experience with recommender systems in sectors such as e-commerce, advertising, music, or video.
- Familiarity with areas including recommendations, language models, information retrieval, search, relationship representations (embeddings, graph networks), NLP, and similarity analysis.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in constructing scalable AI/ML models and delivering comprehensive pipelines.
- Knowledge of machine learning and data science libraries and deep learning frameworks (e.g., Numpy, PyTorch).
- Background in professional software development with an understanding of software development lifecycles and computer science principles.
- Practical experience in one or more of the following areas:
- Large language models
- Document enrichment/text mining
- Generative adversarial networks
- Semi-supervised / unsupervised learning
- Automatic speech recognition
- ML Ops
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts clearly and concisely to diverse audiences.
