About the Job

We are seeking a skilled Cashier to join our team at PeopleReady. As a Cashier, you will be responsible for providing excellent customer service, operating cash registers, and maintaining a clean and organized workspace.

Key Responsibilities
  • Welcome customers, answer their questions, and provide advice or recommendations
  • Operate scanners, scales, cash registers, and other electronics
  • Balance the cash register and generate reports for credit and debit sales
  • Accept payments, ensure all prices and quantities are accurate, and provide a receipt to every customer
  • Process refunds and exchanges, resolve complaints
  • Bag or wrap purchases to ensure safe transport
  • Maintain a clean workspace
Requirements
  • Customer service or cashier experience
  • Ability to handle transactions accurately and responsibly
  • High level of energy with strong customer service skills
  • Basic math and computer skills
  • Ability to stand, walk, lift heavy items, and work with other team members in a fast-paced environment to provide excellent service
  • Attention to detail
  • Helpful, courteous approach to resolving complaints
  • Background check and drug screening required
