The Machine Operator is a vital role within our production team, responsible for the operation of various machinery including blow-mold, grinders, trimmer machines, and conveyor systems. This entry-level position focuses on ensuring the smooth functioning of the production line through effective troubleshooting and minor maintenance tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Adhere to safety protocols and regulatory compliance as mandated by corporate and plant standards.
  • Operate blow-mold machinery to produce high-quality bottles, conducting necessary audits and quality checks.
  • Follow established quality control measures and blow-mold process procedures.
  • Diagnose and perform minor repairs on blow-mold and auxiliary equipment.
  • Adjust machinery settings to meet specific product requirements.
  • Engage in preventive maintenance practices, including mold and mechanical adjustments.
  • Manage the grinding of excess materials and bottles.
  • Document equipment repairs and prepare maintenance requests as needed.
  • Compile daily production reports detailing rejects, regrinds, and line efficiencies.
  • Execute additional tasks as assigned by supervisory personnel.
  • Receive guidance on specific tasks from Lead Operators or Supervisors, with support provided for complex issues.

Experience:

  • Basic mathematical skills are required.
  • Fundamental computer proficiency is necessary.

Education:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent (GED) is preferred.

Training:

  • Completion of Altium Machine Operator I training within the first 90 days of employment.

Physical Requirements:

This position requires regular standing, walking, and the use of hands for handling materials. The ability to lift and move items up to 50 pounds is frequently necessary. Occasional climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling may be required.

Work Environment:

Employees will be exposed to moving mechanical parts in a manufacturing setting, with a typical noise level that is loud. Temperature variations may occur based on seasonal changes, and personal protective equipment (PPE) is mandatory in designated areas.
