Job Title: Licensed Vocational Nurse

At The Plaza at Lubbock, we are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Licensed Vocational Nurse to join our team.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Licensed Vocational Nurse to provide high-quality patient care in our long-term care facility. The successful candidate will have a strong background in nursing, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct patient care, including administering medications, wound care, and vital sign monitoring.
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans to meet the unique needs of each patient.
  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure seamless care delivery and effective communication.
  • Supervise and mentor nursing staff to ensure high-quality care and adherence to facility policies and procedures.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of policies and procedures.

Requirements:

  • Current, valid licensure as a Licensed Vocational Nurse in the state of Texas.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in long-term care or a related field.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Basic computer skills and proficiency in electronic medical records.
