Job Title: Licensed Vocational Nurse

The Plaza at Lubbock is seeking a skilled Licensed Vocational Nurse to join our team. As a Licensed Vocational Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the overall success of our facility.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Vocational Nurse to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering patient care in accordance with facility clinical systems, regulatory requirements, and physician orders. You will work closely with our interdisciplinary team to ensure that our patients receive the highest level of care and service.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, ensuring that all necessary information is documented and communicated to the healthcare team.
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians, ensuring that all medications are accurately labeled and stored.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of patient care plans, working collaboratively with the healthcare team to ensure that patient needs are met.
  • Provide education and support to patients and their families, promoting health and wellness through effective communication and empathy.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to identify and address any patient safety concerns, ensuring that our facility maintains a safe and healthy environment for all patients.
Requirements:
  • Current licensure as a Licensed Vocational Nurse in the state of Texas.
  • At least 1 year of experience as a Licensed Vocational Nurse in a long-term care or rehabilitation setting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
  • Ability to maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, and to communicate effectively with the healthcare team.
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements and clinical systems, with the ability to apply this knowledge in a practical setting.
