Cardiac Care Specialist

Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our team in the IMC Step-Down/Cardiac Unit. This is a 36-private bed unit that specializes in cardiac care for patients who have had open heart surgery.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver patient care through assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
- Prescribe, delegate, coordinate, supervise, and evaluate patient teaching and the activities of ancillary nursing personnel.
- Provide direct and indirect care to patients.
Requirements:
- Graduate of a State Board School of Nursing or equivalent.
- 1 year of Acute Hospital Experience required.
- Current license or permit to practice professional nursing in the State of Texas.
- AHA BLS – within two (2) weeks of employment.
- ACLS – required within eight (8) weeks of employment.
- Arrhythmia Recognition Course – within eight (8) weeks of employment.
Work Type: PRN - Tele Tier Plan available - Flexible Schedule
