Patient Care Specialist

Job Summary
The Patient Care Specialist at Baptist Hospitals of Southeast Texas provides a variety of patient care activities and accommodative services for assigned patients. This role is responsible for performing patient care activities within the limits of the position, which includes providing emotional support and assistance with daily living tasks. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
Provide patient care activities such as bathing, dressing, and feeding patients
Assist patients with daily living tasks such as using the bathroom and taking medication
Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA guidelines
Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure patient needs are met
Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor
Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent required
Previous experience in patient care or a related field preferred
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
Physical stamina to perform patient care activities
