Collections Representative Job Description

About the Role:

FFAM360 is recruiting a skilled Collections Representative to join our team. This role involves engaging with customers to collect past due balances, record accurate notes, and work closely with colleagues to complete claims billing and follow-up collection activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Respond to customer inquiries in a timely and effective manner, treating them fairly and consistently.
  • Work with a working knowledge of the FDCPA, State Collection Laws, HIPAA, and their place within the revenue management cycle.
  • Review and update accounts referred for repossession and legal actions against debtors, ensuring accurate information.
  • Negotiate account settlements within established guidelines, providing the best possible outcomes.
  • Answer phone calls regarding account inquiries and payment collection, delivering exceptional customer service.

Requirements:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 1 year of recent work experience in 3rd Party Collections, preferably medical.
  • A satisfactory preliminary criminal history background check determination and a satisfactory drug screening.
  • The ability to work well in a team setting and possess strong listening and negotiation skills.
