Job Summary

We are looking for a motivated and experienced Veterinary Technician to work in our ICU/ER department. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in veterinary nursing, critical care, and emergency medicine. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, working closely with our veterinarians and other support staff.

Responsibilities
  • Provide nursing care to critically ill hospitalized patients, including triage, diagnostics, and treatments.
  • Assist with exams and patient care, including restraint and monitoring.
  • Obtain blood samples, place IV catheters, and set up continuous care for critical hospitalized patients.
  • Monitor patients and recognize subtle changes in status.
  • Perform physical exams, including obtaining vitals.
  • Administer medications, including PO, IM, Sub Q, and IV.
  • Check in clients after hours, enter charges, process payments, and retrieve previous medical history.
Requirements
  • Two years of previous veterinary technician experience is preferred.
  • Experience at a specialty veterinary hospital or emergency hospital is preferred but not required.
  • Completion of an accredited Veterinary Technology Program and current RVT license is preferred.
  • Highly motivated, team players with a positive attitude.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
