Veterinary Technician Specialist

Are you passionate about delivering exceptional animal care and working collaboratively with a talented team? VCA Animal Hospitals is seeking a skilled Veterinary Technician Specialist to join our dynamic team in South Weymouth, Massachusetts.
About the RoleAs a Veterinary Technician Specialist, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and supporting our board-certified veterinary specialists and emergency clinicians. Your responsibilities will include:
- Pre-anesthetic patient evaluation, anesthesia induction, maintenance, and recovery for various procedures
- Use, maintenance, and troubleshooting of veterinary anesthetic and monitoring equipment
- Familiarity with and ability to calculate and administer anesthetic and other medications
- Ability to work alongside veterinarians and other healthcare professionals in all aspects of veterinary care
- Critical thinking and active participation in treatment planning and execution
- Interaction with clients and referring veterinarians regarding patient care
- Basic skills in catheter placement, phlebotomy, and radiology
