Veterinary Specialty Services is a leading provider of advanced veterinary care, and we're seeking talented veterinary technicians to join our team. As a veterinary technician at VSS, you'll play a critical role in providing exceptional care to critically ill hospitalized patients, working closely with specialty and emergency veterinarians to deliver top-notch patient care.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide nursing care to critically ill patients, including triage, diagnostics, and treatments
  • Assist with exams and patient care, including restraint and vital sign monitoring
  • Obtain blood samples, place IV catheters, and set up continuous care for critical patients
  • Monitor patients and recognize subtle changes in status
  • Perform physical exams, including obtaining vitals and administering medications
  • Check in clients after hours, enter charges, and process payments
  • Perform drug calculations and fluid rate calculations
Requirements:
  • Two years of previous veterinary technician experience preferred
  • Experience at a specialty veterinary hospital or emergency hospital preferred, but not required
  • Completion of an accredited Veterinary Technology Program and current RVT license preferred
  • Highly motivated, team player with a positive attitude
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
