Computer Science Professor Job Opportunity

Florida SouthWestern State College is seeking a highly qualified Professor of Computer Science to join our team of exceptional faculty in the School of Business and Technology. As a faculty member, you will have the opportunity to directly impact the college's mission to inspire students to achieve their academic goals.

The School of Business and Technology offers a range of academic programs, including College Credit Certificate (CCC) programs, Associate in Science (AS) degree programs, and Bachelor of Applied Science (BAS) degree programs. Disciplines include Accounting, Business, Computer Science, Architecture, Civil Engineering, Criminal Justice, Crime Scene, Paralegal, and Public Safety Administration.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teach computer science courses to students at the undergraduate and graduate levels.
  • Develop and implement curriculum to meet the needs of students and the college.
  • Advise students on academic and career goals.
  • Stay current with industry developments and advancements in computer science.
Requirements
  • A doctoral or master's degree from a regionally accredited institution of higher education in the teaching discipline or a master's degree with a concentration in the teaching discipline (a minimum of 18 graduate semester credit hours in the teaching discipline).
  • Demonstrated in-depth knowledge of the subject area to be taught and currency in the discipline.
  • Demonstrated ability to use technology in creating and delivering course content.
