Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Shop Foreman to oversee the day-to-day operations of our company. As a Shop Foreman, you will be responsible for supervising personnel, managing equipment maintenance, and ensuring operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and train staff to ensure effective equipment maintenance and operations.
  • Create and manage staff, maintenance, and work schedules to optimize productivity.
  • Anticipate and address factors that impede operations, ensuring seamless workflow.
  • Enforce safety regulations and protocols to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Conduct performance reviews with staff to identify areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate with management to deliver feedback and develop work optimization strategies.
  • Implement strategies to enhance workflow and operational efficiency.
  • Ensure all equipment and machinery are properly operated and maintained.
  • Monitor inventory levels and replenish supplies as needed.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • At least one year of experience as a Shop Foreman or in a similar role.
  • Proficiency in MS Outlook, Excel, and Word.
  • Strong understanding of work optimization techniques.
  • Knowledge of applicable safety regulations and procedures.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong leadership abilities.
  • Good time management and problem-solving skills.
Physical Demands and Working Conditions
  • Frequent walking and moving across uneven terrain.
  • Lifting over 50 lbs. regularly.
  • Hands/arms operating equipment, hand, and power tools.
  • Climbing in and out of equipment.
  • Reading work tickets, parts, and service manuals, and operating heavy machinery.
  • Communicating via radio, phone, and in person.
  • Ability to hear mechanical problems and safety communications.
  • Ability to work in various weather conditions.
