Job Summary

The Clinical Lead for Adult Services provides critical support to the Director of Extended Community Supports and the Program Manager Community Counseling Center. This role involves supervision of mental health skill building services and staff to ensure efficient, effective, and ethical delivery of services to individuals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide clinical and administrative supervision of adult mental health skill building, including monitoring targeted billing units monthly for all supervised staff.
  • Develop and supervise new services as community needs arise.
  • Train new employees and provide ongoing feedback and professional development opportunities.
  • Complete annual performance evaluations with supervisees.
  • Conduct comprehensive needs assessments for adult clinical services and provide ongoing evaluations of needs for extended support clinical services.
  • Assist with treatment planning for adult clinical services and provide competency evaluations, hospital discharge assessments, and restoration services as assigned.
  • Engage in ongoing evaluation of clinical practice and services rendered to individuals.
  • Comply with all policies and procedures established by the Agency, DBHDS, DMAS, and other regulatory bodies.
  • Participate in meetings, such as supervision, clinical staffing, business meetings, and committees, to enhance a team approach to decision making.
Requirements
  • Extensive knowledge of mental disorders and substance abuse.
  • Skills in assessment and diagnosis.
  • Knowledge of counseling theories and practice utilized to treat mental illness and substance abuse.
  • Knowledge of a broad range of treatment modalities and development of treatment plans.
  • Oral and written communication skills.
  • Knowledge of extended community support services and authorization process.
Qualifications
  • Licensed Mental Health Professional credential required.
  • Experience in supervision and knowledge of budget management preferred.
  • Valid driver's license with a safe driving record.
