The Senior Vice President of Nursing Operations is accountable for, but not limited to:
  1. Collaborate with facility and clinical teams to guarantee the utmost quality of care, achieving optimal clinical outcomes, maintaining zero survey deficiencies, and ensuring high physician satisfaction.
  2. Establish and oversee a robust internal quality enhancement program, which includes regular site visits to confirm that essential systems are operational. Review and follow up on weekly clinical reports and visit assessments. Monitor quality indicators and measures quarterly.
  3. Partner with center and marketing teams to formulate strategic marketing and business development initiatives for each center, ensuring maximum occupancy with an optimal quality mix and revenue generation.
  4. Analyze census trends regularly, assessing and refining business and marketing strategies.
  5. Support the development of the medical staff.
  6. Engage with key referral sources to evaluate performance and uncover business development prospects.
  7. Work alongside center and support teams to ensure exceptional customer service by addressing customer concerns promptly and adapting systems based on feedback.
  8. Ensure customer service frameworks are established (e.g., ambassador program, night owl, weekend manager, careline), fully integrating a culture of excellence throughout the center. Review monthly Press Ganey scores and create action plans to tackle identified issues.
  9. Evaluate call bell metrics along with conducting weekly resident and employee interviews.
  10. Assist centers in operational efficiency to control costs while meeting quality and customer service goals by analyzing labor and payroll reports regularly and developing corrective action plans as needed, reviewing payable reports, and monitoring facility expenditure trends.
  11. Assess workers' compensation expenses on a regular basis.
  12. Oversee all ancillary costs and devise strategies to minimize expenditures.
  13. Collaborate with centers to become the employer of choice within the communities served, aiming for minimal vacancies, low employee turnover, reduced overtime, high employee satisfaction, and no unionization efforts.
  14. Work closely with HR and recruitment to attract top talent, reviewing compensation and benefits to ensure competitiveness.
  15. Conduct monthly and quarterly communication meetings to ensure employee concerns are recognized and addressed.
  16. Monitor employee turnover rates and perform exit interviews to identify trends.
  17. Respond to all careline complaints promptly.
  18. Collaborate with centers to achieve the lowest Days Sales Outstanding (DSO) possible and enhance cash flow.
  19. Audit the admission process regularly to ensure necessary billing information is collected.
  20. Participate in accounts receivable reviews as frequently as dictated by the DSO report.
  21. Review systems for private pay collections and Medicaid pending.
Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field

Licensure/Certification:

Licensed Nursing Home Administrator

Professional Experience:
  • 5-8 years of pertinent experience
  • 3 years of leadership experience
  • Prior managerial experience in Assisted Living or Long-Term Care Administration required
