Job Summary

The Senior Relationship Manager is responsible for developing and expanding existing relationships with individual and commercial customers and prospects through external business development calls, site visits, and referrals. This role ensures compliance with established Bank policies and procedures, as well as knowledge of and adherence to state and federal regulations and laws.

Key Responsibilities
  • Analyze clients' financial and operating strategies to recommend alternative or additional financial services.
  • Achieve sales and service goals by utilizing effective sales practices, implementing customer service techniques, and resolving customer issues.
  • Respond to and anticipate clients' financial needs, solving problems and providing exceptional service that supports our value proposition.
  • Proactively source, acquire, and expand high-value customer relationships by maximizing sales and service opportunities.
  • Gather financial information and analyze potential customers' and customers' creditworthiness and financing requirements.
  • Minimize problem credits and/or delinquencies by maintaining high credit standards, good documentation procedures, and timely collection efforts.
  • Meet with customers regularly to enhance the trusted advisor relationship and become a trusted advisor to ensure business needs are being met.
  • Respond to incoming emails and telephone calls in a professional manner to ensure that client requests are met in a timely fashion.
  • Prepare and coordinate documents for client meetings and presentations.
  • Utilize the Bank's Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system for client activity tracking, call reports, and pipeline management.
  • Attend community and/or specific industry forums, conferences, and/or meetings to broaden relationship networks, referral sources, and continually deepen knowledge of trends, practices, services, and the competitive landscape.
  • Refer opportunities to segment partners where appropriate.

Requirements
  • High School Diploma and at least 7 years of related experience and/or training.
  • Intermediate skills in computer terminal and personal computer operation, mainframe computer system, word processing, typing, and spreadsheet software programs.
  • Intermediate math skills, ability to calculate interest, commissions, proportions, and percentages, balance accounts, add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure.
  • Exceptional verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to apply common sense to carry out instructions and instruct others.
  • Thorough understanding of management procedures, ability to plan department or Company activities, develop strategies, budget, and develop policies and procedures.
  • Ability to deal with complex problems involving multiple facets and variables in non-standardized situations.
  • Ability to work with no supervision while performing duties.
  • Current driver's license and a vehicle with appropriate insurance coverage if required to drive in the course of performing assigned duties and responsibilities.

Pay $95,000 - $160,000 per year. The salary reflects the full salary range for this position. Individual placement within the range is based on the candidate's current experience, education, skills, and abilities related to the position. Successful candidates typically begin up from the beginning to mid-point of the salary range. Successful candidates may be eligible for bonus/stock/commissions/incentives at the Company's sole discretion.
