About this Role

We're seeking a Senior Control Management Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our risk management team, you'll play a critical role in helping us strengthen our business control environment. Your expertise will help us identify and mitigate risks, ensuring the integrity of our operations and the trust of our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead or participate in moderately complex initiatives and deliverables within functional area and contribute to large-scale planning related to functional area deliverables
  • Review and analyze moderately complex business, operational, or technical challenges that require an in-depth evaluation of variable factors
  • Contribute to the resolution of moderately complex issues and partner with others to meet functional area, project, or process deliverables while leveraging solid understanding of the function, policies, procedures, or compliance requirements
  • Collaborate with peers, colleagues, and mid-level managers to resolve issues and achieve goals; may serve as a mentor for lower-level staff
Requirements
  • 2+ years of work experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
  • Military experience in any branch of service: Army, National Guard, Air Force, Space Force, Navy, Marines, Coast Guard or Reserves
  • Experience in supporting one or more areas of risk including, Business Control, Operational Risk or Compliance roles aligned to these groups
  • Risk and Control Self-Assessment (RCSA) and Issue Management experience
  • Experience in designing, monitoring and or remediation of controls
  • Experience in developing and or monitoring key risk indicators
  • Understanding of enterprise risk management framework including risk identification, risk appetite and strategy, risk-related decisions, processes and controls, risk analytics and governance
  • Strong interpersonal, influencing, and communications skills with an ability to interact effectively with stakeholders
  • Understanding of risk framework, corporate/business policies, and programs to translate into plans for the business, function and/or risk type
