Job Summary

We are seeking an Assistant Portfolio Manager to join our residential portfolio management team at our Downtown Portland corporate office. This role will provide day-to-day support to one Portfolio Manager and their conventional multifamily portfolio. Responsibilities
  • Provide administrative support to onsite property managers and their staff, ensuring seamless operations and efficient communication.
  • Coordinate the interview process, skills testing, and onboarding of new onsite employees, fostering a positive work environment.
  • Develop and deliver training programs for onsite property managers and assistant managers on various topics, including:
  • Audit and prepare weekly activity reports, renewal reports, and comparative rent surveys, meeting established deadlines.
  • Analyze data to provide recommendations on rent rates, concessions, move-in fees, and other relevant factors.
  • Assist with rent collection and participate in legal actions as necessary.
  • Promote properties through online advertising and Craigslist listings.
  • Audit, correct, and distribute Weekly Activity Reports and Renewal Reports.
  • Support Portfolio Manager in auditing rent collection processes and participating in legal actions.
  • Additional duties may be assigned as needed.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • One year of administrative experience, preferably in property management.
  • Experience with Entrata Property Management Software is preferred.
  • Demonstrated intermediate-level proficiency in Microsoft 365 and ability to learn new software programs.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with colleagues and external partners.
  • Ability to set priorities, meet deadlines, and multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Work independently while being a productive member of a team.
  • Awareness and adherence to all Landlord/Tenant and Fair Housing Laws.
  • Possess reliable transportation, a valid driver's license, proof of insurance, and a clean driving record.
Compensation and Benefits
