Job DescriptionResponsibilities
- Deliver exceptional customer service by providing detailed information about available apartments and community amenities to prospective residents.
- Efficiently schedule visits to the community and communicate effectively with clients to determine their qualifications.
- Clearly explain all lease and community policies to new and current residents, ensuring a seamless experience.
- Prepare and assist with leasing paperwork, including applications, lease agreements, employment and credit checks, and move-in packets.
- Collect security deposits, rent, and other funds associated with resident moves.
- Communicate changes in unit leased status to the maintenance department promptly.
- Conduct follow-up notes, mail, and call-backs with prospects after initial community visits, maintaining accurate records of contact.
- Promote the community through outside marketing efforts, social media postings, and updates to online advertising sources.
- Stay up-to-date on community knowledge, particularly rent and pricing information, vacancies, apartment availability, lease expirations, square footage, etc.
- Comply with state landlord-tenant Fair Housing laws and standards.
- Analyze market trends and conditions in the area, preparing weekly competitive market survey reports.
- Proactively monitor vacancies to react to future occupancy needs.
Required Skills and QualificationsQualifications
- A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
- A minimum of one year of sales experience is preferred.
- Customer service background is desirable.
- Basic arithmetic skills are necessary.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills are essential.
- Able to operate a computer with internet and email capabilities, telephone, fax, and copier.
- Must have a valid driver's license, vehicle, good driving record, and insurance.
- The ability to work weekends is required.
- Pre-employment background screen is mandatory.
