High-Precision CNC Lathe Setup and Programming Opportunity

CAROLINA PRECISION TECHNOLOGIES, LLC is a leading precision manufacturer serving the medical and aerospace industries. We are seeking an experienced CNC Lathe Setup/Programmer to join our team in Putnam, CT.

Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled professional with expertise in setting up and programming CNC lathes to efficiently produce high-quality parts. The ideal candidate will have experience working in a production environment and possess excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities and Duties

Key responsibilities include:

  • Setting up and programming CNC lathes to achieve optimal performance and productivity
  • Operating machines when not programming or in setup mode
  • Inspecting parts according to print specifications and in-process documentation
  • Maintaining a safe work environment by clearing chips and adhering to safety protocols
Requirements and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A minimum of 1-5 years of experience in a machine shop environment
  • Familiarity with CAM software (Part Maker/Mastercam) and blue print reading skills
  • Proficiency in general math and ability to stand for 8 hours with occasional lifting of up to 50 lbs
Benefits and Salary Information

This position offers a competitive salary based on experience, ranging from $55,000 to $75,000 per year, including a comprehensive benefits package, paid time off, and eligibility for a 401(k) plan after three months of service.
