Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough inspections of transportation infrastructure projects to identify any defects or issues
  • Verify that projects meet contract requirements and industry standards
  • Test materials and products used in construction to ensure quality and safety
  • Collaborate with contractors and surveyors to ensure accurate measurements and stake-outs
  • Inspect the placement of materials such as cement concrete, bituminous concrete, drainage materials, and bridge materials

Requirements:

  • One year of construction inspection experience and an associate degree in civil engineering, mechanical engineering, geotechnical engineering, surveying engineering technology, or a closely related engineering technology
  • OR an equivalent combination of experience and training
  • Certain positions require possession of a valid non-commercial Pennsylvania Class C Driver's License or equivalent
  • Must meet PA residency requirements
  • Ability to perform essential job functions
