About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Estimating & Construction Assistant to join our team at Excel Services. As a key member of our Estimating and Construction Operations team, you will provide administrative support to ensure efficient office operations and contribute to the success of our team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the VP of Construction and VP of Estimating with executive duties such as team correspondence, team presentations, meeting arrangements, and scheduling.
  • Maintain and update Estimating and Construction area office supplies. Report any needs to the Office Manager.
  • Input and maintain data in various software systems (BuildOps, MS Office, Paylocity, etc)
  • Develop and implement office procedures and systems to enhance efficiency and organization.
  • Assist with preparation and coordination of company events, meetings, and training sessions.
  • Assist project managers with documentation including contracts, change orders, project files, RFI's, material submittals, and schedules.
  • Coordinate with subcontractors and vendors to schedule meetings, manage documentation, and ensure timely delivery of materials and/or services.
  • Generate and distribute reports related to project status, financials, and administrative tasks.
  • Assist estimators with bid documentation including bid forms, bid bonds, RFI's, and other bid documents
  • Coordinate with subcontractors and vendors to ensure timely delivery of proposals and documentation
  • Generate and distribute reports related to bid opportunities, bid results, and administrative tasks.
  • Serve as the first point of contact for the Estimating and Construction team for clients and visitors, providing a professional and welcoming experience.
  • Facilitate communications between clients, vendors, and internal teams to resolve issues and ensure smooth operations.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and operational efficiency, implementing best practices to enhance the overall performance of the estimating and construction operations.
Requirements
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are required (oral, written, and presentation)
  • Creative problem solver with exceptional follow-through and attention to detail skills.
  • Works well in a team-oriented environment
  • Strong work ethic with a high amount of personal ownership of their work.
  • Ability to take the initiative and have a proactive approach to solving problems with minimal supervision
  • Enjoys a fast-paced and frequently changing environment, able to be responsive to multiple details and multiple tasks while minimizing errors
  • Organized in the approach of work execution and handling multiple tasks effectively
Minimum Qualifications
  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent
  • Possession of valid driver's license with a good record of driving
Salary Description

$20-$22 Dollars Per Hour
