**Job Summary**
We are seeking a skilled Behavioral Health Professional to join our team at Allied Services. In this role, you will have the opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of individuals with mental health challenges.
About the Job
The Mental Health Worker is responsible for carrying out assigned programming to residents in a supportive and therapeutic environment. You will work closely with the Mental Health Services Supervisor to implement effective treatment plans and provide individualized support to each resident.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement assigned programming and activities to promote resident engagement and well-being.
- Provide individualized support and guidance to residents to help them achieve their goals.
- Collaborate with the Mental Health Services Supervisor to develop and implement effective treatment plans.
- Conduct regular assessments and evaluations to monitor resident progress and adjust treatment plans as needed.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of resident interactions and progress.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required; college courses in the Humanities or Social Sciences preferred.
- Two (2) years experience in working with mentally handicapped individuals preferred.
- CPR certification and First Aid certification must be obtained and maintained.
- Good written and verbal communication skills and interpersonal skills required for effective communication with staff, management, residents, and external agency personnel.
- Valid PA driver's license required for driving of program vans.
Working Conditions
This position involves working in a residential setting for mentally ill adults, which may include exposure to blood or other potentially infectious materials. You will also work indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions and seasons.
Estimated Salary:** $40,000 - $50,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
