Licensed Vocational Nurse/Licensed Practical Nurse

The Licensed Vocational Nurse/Licensed Practical Nurse (LVN/LPN) plays a vital role in delivering high-quality, patient-centered care at LewisGale Hospital Montgomery. As a member of our healthcare team, you will coordinate and provide delegated basic patient care services, working collaboratively with Registered Nurses and other care team members to ensure comprehensive and compassionate care.
Key Responsibilities- Obtain and record patient information, providing individualized care that meets the unique needs of each patient.
- Provide direct nursing care, assisting with procedures, monitoring, and other functions as directed by physicians or RNs.
- Perform lab and procedural tests within the LVN/LPN scope of practice, after demonstrating competency.
- Administer prescribed medications, monitoring patient response and notifying providers as needed.
- Identify potential nursing problems and inform appropriate team members, escalating situations requiring care beyond the LVN/LPN scope.
- Graduate of Vocational Nursing school required.
- < 1 year applicable experience preferred.
- Current licensure as a vocational nurse or practical nurse in the state(s) of practice.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
- IV Certification and Care tool documentation.
