Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Behavioral Specialist to join our team at the Dallas Independent School District. As a key member of our special education team, you will play a critical role in supporting students with behavioral and emotional challenges.

Key Responsibilities
  • Implement a research-based coaching and feedback model to support teachers and staff in addressing student behavioral and emotional needs.
  • Develop and deliver professional learning opportunities in behavior management to campus personnel.
  • Collaborate with campus teams to develop effective behavior interventions and provide coaching and support to staff.
  • Assist in collecting and analyzing data to document student progress and inform instruction.
  • Provide written, formative feedback to staff to support continuous improvement.
  • Support the implementation of BHS program expectations and conduct fidelity checks to ensure program integrity.
  • Attend Admission, Review, and Dismissal Committee (ARD) meetings to provide support and recommendations.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current on best practices in special education and behavior management.
Qualifications
  • Master's degree in Special Education or related field.
  • Experience working with students with behavioral and emotional challenges.
  • Strong coaching and leadership skills.
  • Ability to analyze data and inform instruction.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
