Qualifications Required:
  • Valid license to practice law in California
  • 1 to 3 years of experience in immigration law
  • Familiarity with USCIS and EOIR processes and case management
  • Capacity to manage a caseload exceeding 150 cases
  • Fluency in both English and Spanish is mandatory
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities
  • Proficient in multitasking within a dynamic environment
  • Team-oriented with flexibility
  • Ability to mentor and support junior staff
  • Reliable transportation is essential
  • Willingness to work from multiple office locations is advantageous
Responsibilities and Skills:

The ideal candidate will be responsible for a variety of tasks, including but not limited to:

  • Collaborating with the Department Manager and team to ensure deadlines are met
  • Preparing and reviewing EOIR & USCIS filings as necessary
  • Representing clients in legal proceedings
  • Managing calendars to prevent scheduling conflicts and prioritize tasks
  • Contributing innovative ideas to advance the firm's mission
  • Conducting thorough file and calendar reviews to ensure timely completion of work
  • Analyzing cases to identify potential issues and communicating with clients
  • Researching relevant laws, statutes, and legal developments
  • Discussing case strategies with supervising attorneys
  • Preparing clients for interviews and setting appropriate expectations
  • Drafting necessary legal documents, including motions and briefs
  • Documenting client communications and maintaining case notes
  • Ensuring effective communication with clients to enhance satisfaction
  • Working one Saturday per month as required
  • Assisting with various case management tasks as a collaborative team member
  • Organizing and filing correspondence from clients and government entities
  • Maintaining accurate data entry and records in company software
  • Typing proficiency of at least 45 words per minute
  • Familiarity with Adobe Acrobat, MS Word, Excel, and MS Outlook
  • Ability to lift case files weighing over 25 lbs occasionally

Job Type: Full-time
Salary Range: $85,000 - $115,000 per year
Work Schedule: 8-hour shifts, Monday to Friday, with weekend availability as needed.
Additional Pay: Bonus opportunities available.
COVID-19 Considerations: Personal protective equipment provided and social distancing measures in place.
Experience Required: 1 to 2 years in immigration law (mandatory)
Language Requirement: Spanish (mandatory)
Licensure: Must possess a valid license to practice in California.
