Cornerstone Family Healthcare is seeking a skilled Medical Assistant to join our team in Highland Falls, NY.

Job Summary

We are looking for a detail-oriented and compassionate Medical Assistant to provide high-quality patient care in our department. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of medical procedures and be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities
  • Perform screening procedures and documentation in accordance with Cornerstone policies and procedures.
  • Identify potential patient problems and alert the RN or Provider.
  • Participate in Cornerstone's Care Team Model, including Pre-Visit Planning and care team huddles/communication.
  • Assist with population management activities for assigned patient panel.
  • Direct and participate in quality improvement activities within the care team and department.
  • Refer phone and walk-in triage to Registered Nurse or Physician.
Requirements
  • Registered Medical Assistant OR Certified Medical Assistant OR Medical Assistant with school diploma (i.e. Associate's Degree) OR Medical Assistant without certifications/diploma, but with at least one year of on the job experience.
  • Current BLS Certification.
