Job Description

Position Overview:

Buddy's Home Furnishings is a Lease Ownership Company established in 1961, offering a range of quality brand name products including consumer electronics, appliances, furniture, and accessories aimed at enhancing customers' lifestyles.

Our business model focuses on leasing durable household goods to consumers on a lease-to-own basis, operating through numerous locations nationwide.

Key Responsibilities:
- Manage customer accounts while adhering to company collection and revenue standards.
- Conduct inside sales and outside collections.
- Assist in maintaining the showroom's appearance.
- Take a leading role in the delivery and collection of merchandise.
- Potentially perform managerial tasks as directed by the General Manager.
- Exhibit strong communication and reasoning skills, showcasing management potential.

Essential Duties:
- Acquire and retain customers.
- Perform basic installation and removal of furniture, appliances, and home electronics.
- Adhere to all company vehicle safety standards and documentation requirements.
- Manage customer relationships and credit processes.
- Process customer payments and maintain accurate data entry in the VersiRent system.
- Complete receipt documentation and journal entries.
- Handle inbound and outbound service calls.
- Execute deliveries and merchandise collections.
- Engage in sales and merchandising activities.
- Undertake any additional responsibilities as assigned by store management.

Qualifications:
- Exceptional telephone communication skills.
- Proficient in intermediate mathematics.
- Maintain a professional appearance at all times.
- Must be able to drive during both day and night, meeting all safety standards.
- Ability to clearly explain rental and lease terms to customers.
- Strong reading, writing, and verbal communication skills.
- Willingness to work overtime as needed.
- Knowledgeable about product features and benefits, with the ability to work on the showroom floor.
- Must possess proficient navigational skills and a satisfactory driving record that meets insurability requirements.
- Consistent attendance is required, including evenings and weekends as business needs dictate.

Physical Requirements:
- The position involves routine lifting, loading, and moving of merchandise, utilizing a dolly as necessary.
- Ability to stoop, bend, pull, climb, reach, and grasp as required.
- Must be capable of navigating multiple flights of stairs while carrying items.
- Prolonged periods of driving and standing are expected.
- Must be comfortable working indoors and outdoors in various weather conditions.
