Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Assistant to join our team at Sentara Healthcare in Virginia Beach, VA. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing patient care and administrative support to our healthcare team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform patient care and administrative tasks, including phlebotomy, clinical, and clerical duties
  • Work directly with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with patients, families, and healthcare teams
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and outcomes
Requirements:
  • Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) certification
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively
