This is a FULL TIME/TEMP TO HIRE role, requiring availability during standard business hours, Monday through Friday.
Key Responsibilities:As a Medical Assistant in a Family Practice setting, your contributions will be vital in ensuring exceptional patient care while adhering to all HIPAA regulations. Your daily tasks will include:
- Taking patient vitals and medical histories
- Assisting with medication reconciliation
- Rooming patients and documenting in electronic health records (EHR)
- Coordinating prescription calls to pharmacies
- Conducting follow-up communications with patients
- Performing EKGs, urine screenings, blood draws, and injections
- Supporting physicians in a multi-doctor practice
- Completing additional tasks as assigned by supervisors
To be considered for the Medical Assistant-FPH position, candidates must meet the following requirements:
- Mandatory: Full vaccination against COVID-19
- Mandatory: Ability to successfully pass a background check and drug screening
- Mandatory: Reliability and quick learning capabilities in a fast-paced environment
- Mandatory: Strong written and verbal communication skills
Preferred: Experience in a Family Practice or Urgent Care environment is advantageous. A minimum of one year of experience as a Certified or Registered Medical Assistant is a plus, though newly graduated candidates are encouraged to apply.
Compensation and Benefits:- Starting pay of $15.00 or more, based on experience
